The 5 elements are historically used in Chinese philosophy, medicine and meta-physics study based on the visualization of physical items in the environment.
It was observed that the 5 elements namely; WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL and WATER, co-exist in the environment and they affect the changes of weather and seasons.
The 5 elements are very visible in our daily lives since our ancestors times. The representation of WOOD is clearly seen as trees and plants in our surrounding. FIRE is the flame usually seen at home from the candle sticks or the light source from the sun. EARTH will be the earth we are standing on and mountains around us. METAL is commonly regarded as weapons and jewelries. Finally WATER is the vast ocean and rivers.
Hence the strength and weakness of the 5 elements have direct impact on the change in weather and seasons as well as one’s destiny or life. This causes continuous motion and movement of the environment.
