What is 'Qi" (气)?

'Qi' (气) in the study of BaZi (八字) is described as the energy movements and reaction in the environment. Since we are in the environment, we are all affected by the flow of the energies around us. Thus our feelings and actions are greatly influenced by these energies.

As the earth is revolving, the effects of 'Qi' (气) is also changing. In fact the change takes place every second. In chinese metaphysics, this change is tabulated into what most people would call; the 4 Pillars (四柱) or BaZi (八字)

How does 'Qi' interact or change?

Newton's third law states that; "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction". This statement is also true for the movement of 'Qi' (气), hence the Yin (阴) and Yang (阳) of 'Qi' (气) comes into the picture. Where Yin (阴) is usually considered as 'Negative' polarity and Yang (阳) is of 'Positive' polarity. When the both meets, there is action and reaction and that's also how our feelings and actions are affected. Events too occur when there is interaction of 'Qi' (气). This can be identified from the BaZi (八字) for the day.

BaZi is not a knowledge just for reading destiny.....

BaZi (八字) is a powerful way to read one's destiny. However, this knowledge not only can we use to read one's destiny; it can be used to predict outcome of events, analysing why certain events took place, when and how to avoid mishaps, etc.

How can BaZi (八字) be used in any other areas besides destiny reading?

The basis of BaZi (八字) is the study of the environment 'Qi' (气) movements and interactions. In simple context, 'Qi' (气) is the magnetic energies of the environment meeting and crossing each other.

When we understand 'Qi' (气), we will be able to better understand why a certain outcome took place. Hence, once we understood the relationship of different 'Qi' (气) coming together, we will be able to predict events, analyse why events took place, when and how to avoid mishaps, etc.
